Today, approximately 4:00 PM— delegates of the National Executive Leadership of Anti-Repression Allies - ARA joined the Veterans’ Bureau, LEADERSHIP and members of the Revolutionary Vanguard Student Unification Alliance (SUA), the Leadership of LINSU and Legislative Office of Rep. Anthony F. Williams at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) to solemnly receive and honor the remains of Comrade Sam Poar Judy.

Comrade Sam’s life and sacrifice stand as a vague to gunfight commitment, courage, and service to humanity. Though he has departed from our physical presence, his ideals, struggles, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts and consciousness of all mankind.

May peace and eternal rest be his remains!

RECLAIMING THE REVOLUTIONARY ESSENCE OF YOUTH/STUDENT LEADERSHIP IN LIBERIA

Jersey is gone. Alieu is no more. The hero has completed his scene. Yet, his legacy will echo throughout time.

Jersey may have departed, but his spirit will find peace only when LINSU, FLY, MRU-YP, and other Youth and Student bodies rise beyond the theory and syndrome of sycophancy.

For far too long, these institutions have kept their voices folded beneath their arms — moving in a mushroom pattern of service that strays from the very foundations of their existence. This is not the path worthy of the youth and student community. For how long will the stimulus of sycophancy screw the vocality in service? Too long, the energy, intellect, and revolutionary spirit of young Liberians have been subdued under the weight of sycophancy and political co-option. The institutions that once symbolized resistance, advocacy, and transformation now risk becoming echo chambers of power, crumbs and mediocrity rather than instruments of progress.

If not now, but very soon, the conscience of our generation would no longer remain silent in the face of institutional complacency. It has become painfully evident that bodies such as the Liberia National Student Union (LINSU), the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY), and the Mano River Union Youth Parliament (MRU-YP) have strayed from their historic mission — to stand as the uncompromising voice of the Liberian youth and the moral compass of our nation’s future.

Agreed or disagree, during the days of Jersey, not once did he remain silent in his conviction. He stood firm in his belief that these institutions must rise to the occasion — to demand accountability, to promote tolerance, and to challenge complacency in pursuit of justice and transformation for all.

Today, as we mourn his departure, let us awaken the revolutionary conscience he embodied. Let us ensure that Jersey’s struggle was not in vain — that his dream for a bold, principled, and liberated student and Youth movements lives on. LINSU, FLY, and MRU-YP must now transcend the paralysis of conformity and rediscover their revolutionary mandate. They must convene, rethink, and realign their structures toward a genuine roadmap for youth and student emancipation — one grounded in integrity, genuine Advocacy, innovations, Programs, and collective responsibility in all. The time has come to reclaim our space in the national discourse — not as instruments of endorsement during elections period or sycophants to greedy Liberian politicians, but as agents of enlightenment and radical change in our lifetime.
