His Mercy

Take heed therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.– Luke 8:18
The point isn’t just what you hear, but how you receive and act on it.
And it’s not only about hearing. It’s also about what you see.
Your eyes and ears are like windows to your soul. Whatever comes through them shapes what lives inside you. That’s why Jesus says: “Take heed how you hear.” Guide those windows.
We all have moments where we see or hear things we didn’t plan for mistakes happen. A wrong video pops up, a careless conversation catches your ear.
The key isn’t pretending it never happened.
It’s asking:
How will I receive it?
How will I respond?
If you pay attention and act on God’s Word, You grow.
If your understanding deepens, God gives you more insight.
If you neglect it, Even the little you thought you had fades away.
Think of it like watering a plant. If you keep watering it with God’s Word through sermons, worship, scripture, prayer, it grows strong and bears fruit.
If you stop watering and leave the weeds of distraction in, it withers.
So today, be intentional.
Listen to sermons, sing worship songs, watch things that point you to Christ.
Feed your soul with what matters most and it is the Word of God!
