Celebrating the World IP Day 2023, on the theme ‘Women and IP’, the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka (NIPO) is organizing an online seminar on Intellectual Property targeting Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs), TISC staff, TISC users and potential TISCs in the future. Women’s contribution to IP will be promoted at this event.
The morning session will be focused on

- Industrial Designs and Registration
- Inventions and Patenting Process
The afternoon session will be focused on
-Usefulness and Value of Patent Information and Technology Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) – (Speaker from WIPO)
-WIPO INSPIRE and Digital Support Resources for TISCs (Speaker from WIPO)
-How to draft a complete patent application: an examiner’s view point (Dr..Lutz Mailänder-Guest speaker)
