We are committed to improving the numeracy and literacy skills of primary students through the provincial-level ATLAS programme (Active Teaching and Learning Approaches in Schools). 🌱📚

As part of this initiative, we focused on building the capacity of teachers to strengthen their teaching methods and promote active learning in classrooms. The Nuwara Eliya district teacher training programme was successfully implemented, covering the educational zones of Walapane, Hagguranketha, Nuwara Eliya, Hatton, and Kothmale.

Through these training sessions, teachers were equipped with innovative strategies and interactive methods that can make teaching and learning more meaningful, engaging, and child-centered. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫✨

Together, we are taking steps towards creating an inclusive and effective learning environment that empowers both teachers and students. 🌍💡

As part of the *Education for Protection and Well-being* programme, we successfully conducted sessions on **Well-being & Stress Management** and **Managing Emotions** for educators. 🌱✨ These sessions provided a valuable space to reflect on personal and professional challenges, while learning effective strategies to manage stress, emotions, and complex situations that often arise in school environments.

By strengthening these essential skills, educators are better equipped to create a positive and supportive learning atmosphere, ensure the protection and well-being of children, and respond with confidence when faced with difficult circumstances. 💡📚 This initiative not only benefits teachers but also contributes to building healthier school communities where students can grow and thrive.
