Nama Foundation

For the 12th consecutive year, Nama Foundation continues its heartfelt mission of supporting children as they begin their educational journey.

This year, the initiative reached 8 schools, providing:
📘 School bags for Grade 1 students
✏️ Stationery kits for special needs children

These efforts help create equality and confidence among freshers, ensuring every child starts school feeling prepared, included, and excited to learn.

📚 Supporting School Children Affected by the Ditwah Cyclone in Mawanella 🤝

Following the impact of the Ditwah cyclone, a total of 227 school students in the Mawanella region were affected and are in need of educational support. As part of our community service initiative, Nama Foundation contributed by donating school bags to support affected students in continuing their education.

On 26th November 2026, the school bags were officially handed over to Mrs. V.O.L. Rathnasekara, Divisional Secretary of the Mawanella Divisional Secretariat.

We remain committed to supporting education and standing with our community in times of need. 🌱

Nama Foundation Flood Relief – Gelioya

As part of our flood relief efforts in Gelioya, Nama Foundation distributed 120 school bags and stationery kits to Grade 1 students enrolling in 2026, selected from 1,800 flood-affected families.

The handover took place at Elemaldeniya Jumu’ah Mosque, in coordination with GDF, with the presence of mosque officials and GDF members.
