Where history paints its own story 🎨✨

Project “දායාද” organized by the Luminous Charity Foundation was successfully held on 17th October 2025 at Kopikalla Primary Vidyalaya, in the Ratnapura District. The event was a remarkable success, dedicated to supporting all the children of the school.

As part of this heartfelt initiative, we donated complete sets of school essentials to 35 primary school students, with the aim of providing them with the basic resources they need to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

✨ Luminous Charity Foundation proudly presents Project “දායාද” ✨

A heartfelt initiative dedicated to illuminating young minds and nurturing dreams. Through Project “දායාද”, we are extending our support to the bright primary students of Kopikalla Primary Vidyalaya in the Ratnapura District.

As part of this meaningful endeavor, 35 primary students will receive a complete set of essential school supplies — empowering them with the tools they need to learn, grow, and shine during this vital stage of their education.

World Humanitarian Day is celebrated annually on 19 August as a way to honor the memory of those who have died while serving others and to encourage continued support for humanitarian causes.
According the Aid Worker Security Database, 388 aid workers were killed in 2024, the latest year for which complete figures are available, 112 were kidnapped and 281 were wounded. Of those killed, 168 were members of UN staff and 126 of these were killed in Gaza. All but one of these worked for UNRWA, the UN agency that assists Palestine refugees.
In early June 2025 the UN Secretary-General António Guterres said that those who had been killed last year were extraordinary individuals – each one a story of courage, compassion, and service.
