Where to buy Ayurveda medicine & cosmetics in Sri Lanka? :)
Most of tourist guides will tell you - Spice Gardens of course! And... they will be right .... for sure... and you will be paying 200-300% more for the same things. The secret is: Spice Gardens are interesting place to visit and some times they have some unique things. But most of Ayurveda cosmetics & medicine you can buy in local Ayurveda Pharmacies :) really not expensive at all! The only issue you can face - people in local pharmacy have very limited English. But normally its still enough to buy what you need :) That pharmacies are the best place to get Real!!! and Fresh Ayurveda products)

Question No 1
Ayurveda treatment (real authentic) can be taken in Government & private Ayurveda Hospitals, Private Ayurveda centers, Ayurveda Hotels.
1. Government & private Ayurveda Hospitals: its most budget option but less comfortable. You will have to stay somewhere near by and come for treatment. Its normal hospital setup with lots of local people and general hospital mess. Big plus point is that there are very experienced and professional Ayurveda doctors! So its the choice if you have serious illness to treat. Ayurveda meals are not included!
2. Private Ayurveda centers: more expensive but more comfortable option. You can get client oriented service, but still accommodation you will have to sort out by yourself. Quality can be different depends of center. So its better if you will be going with recommendations. Ayurveda meals are not included as well!
3. Ayurveda Hotels: there are cheap & expensive options are available. We can advice you the best one for your budget and requirement. Big plus points: you are getting Hospital standard treatments and Hotel standard comfort. And also your Ayurveda meals prepared for you will be included on daily basis :) !
