The global duty free and travel retail event, TFWA World Exhibition, is a unique five-day forum which was held this year on October 20-25, 2013 in Cannes. Featuring the world’s leading premium brands and the best-in-class products, this event also offers high opportunities of networking. In this context, Mr. Fadi Nesr had the chance to meet with prestigious suppliers, from all over the world, interested in investing in the African market. With a carefully crafted program, participants also benefited from targeted conferences and workshops; thus increasing the potential to mix with industry colleagues.

In an aim to strengthen business and economic ties between Lebanon and France, the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of CMA CGM Group, Mr. Jacques Saade, hosted a two-day “Franco-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce” event on October 20-22, 2013. At the end of the event, a conference was held with a focus on the economic and commercial situation in Lebanon and the perspectives offered to the French enterprises. The conference was attended by prominent figures, such as the French Minister of Transportation, the Mayor of Marseille, the Consul General of Lebanon in Marseille, the Ambassador of France to Lebanon, along with a Lebanese delegation comprising Mr. Samuelian, Vice-Governor of the Central Bank, former Minister Mr. Adnan Kassar, Mr. Mohamad Choucair, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, Mr. Fadi Nesr, and Mrs. Amina Nesr.
