Smart Energy has adopted Building Information Modeling
(BIM), building design and construction technology. The BIM process creates a digital prototype in 3D which allows for design issues to be addressed and modified early in the process, saving time and reducing costs. 3 dimensional models allow for improved construction planning and design accuracy. The results provide detailed information that can be referred to for long term energy management!

According to the tender document, the new facility should "generate electricity and other green energy by-products and implement a recycling programme”.

Waste-to-energy facility soon for Grand Cayman - Caribbean360 A contract to finance, build, own and operate the new facility has been awarded to a US-based company.
