𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲

A practical, hands-on training session focused on classroom technology integration was recently held at Sunrise Adult Training Centre, bringing educators together to build confidence and strengthen instructional delivery through the effective use of interactive learning tools.

The session was delivered with support from the Department of Education Services ICT Unit and the Sunrise Adult Training Center, Cayman Islands, in partnership with Creative Tech Ltd, the exclusive authorized distributor for Promethean in the Cayman Islands. The training was facilitated by Ms. Kadeen Bailey, who has been formally trained by Promethean to deliver local end-user training and support to customers across the Cayman Islands. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to advancing digital transformation and strengthening technology capacity within the education sector.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
The workshop brought together 11 participants and centered on practical, immediately applicable skills to support more effective use of interactive classroom technology. Through live demonstrations, guided instruction, and hands-on activities, educators were introduced to tools and techniques that can be integrated directly into teaching practice.

𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
The training was designed to help educators:
* Build confidence using the Promethean ActivPanel in classroom settings
* Incorporate interactive technology into lesson delivery in ways that complement individual teaching styles
* Improve student engagement through practical use of digital teaching tools

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱
Participants took part in a series of guided sessions, including:
* Introduction to core ActivPanel tools and classroom features
* Step-by-step device setup and navigation
* Hands-on practice integrating digital tools into lesson planning
* Group discussions on classroom application strategies
* Basic troubleshooting and operational best practices

The session demonstrated the value of practical professional development in helping educators maximize classroom technology. Participants left with stronger confidence, improved familiarity with the Promethean platform, and actionable strategies to support more engaging teaching and learning experiences.

The training highlights the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Creative Tech to support educator development and improve the integration of digital learning tools across the Cayman Islands. Through initiatives such as this, institutions continue to expand access to modern teaching resources that enhance learning outcomes and classroom engagement.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲
Sunrise Adult Training Centre is a government-operated facility in the Cayman Islands dedicated to supporting adults with additional needs through vocational training, life-skills development, and community-based programmes. The Centre focuses on empowering individuals to achieve greater independence, build confidence, and develop skills that support meaningful participation in society, including pathways toward supported employment.
