С древних времен исчисление времен годов у кыргызов выделяли еще ряд взаимосвязанных периодов. Каждый год 13 декабря начинается период «токсон» (девяносто), который длится девяносто дней. Через двадцать пять дней, 8 января, наступает «кышкы чилде» (зимнее «чилде» (сороковка) - сорок самых холодных дней зимой. После окончания чилде наступает период длиною в 6-7 дней, который называется «апкыт» (конец зимы (время, когда зима отступает под напором весны). Интересно, что апкыт ещё переводится как «задник обуви», как самый крайний, последний момент зимнего сезона.
Since ancient times, the calculation of the times of years among the Kyrgyz has been distinguished by a number of interconnected periods. Every year on December 13, the “tokson” (ninety) period begins, which lasts ninety days. Twenty-five days later, on January 8, “kyshky childe” comes (winter “childe” (forty) - the forty coldest days in winter. After the end of childe, a period of 6-7 days begins, which is called “apkyt” (end of winter (time when winter recedes under the pressure of spring). It is quite interesting that apkyt is also translated as "the back of shoes", referring to the last moment of the winter season.

Поразительно как мало ценится чудо, если оно все время находится рядом с тобой. И стоит человеку свыкнуться с этой мыслью, так все вокруг теряет всякий смысл и красоту. А порой, случится человеку уехать далеко, а душа его просится обратно к дому… Ведь так всегда бывает: полил проливной дождь пару дней без устали и глазу тут же открывается поразительное разнообразие природы.
