I’m incredibly excited to announce a new nine-night elephant conservation safari in Kenya in January 2027, which I will be co-hosting with wildlife presenter and cameraman Gordon Buchanan MBE.
After I recently mentioned that a single place had become available on our private November safari, the response was extraordinary. So we’ve decided to release a second journey for just 12 guests — and I’m thrilled that Gordon will be joining me.
Many of you will know Gordon from his wildlife series filmed all over the world, but this trip has a particularly special connection. His programme Elephant Family & Me was filmed with the remarkable team at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust — and during this safari we will spend time at their remote Ithumba camp in Tsavo, witnessing the long-term journey of orphaned elephants back to the wild.
Over nine unforgettable nights we’ll explore some of Kenya’s greatest elephant landscapes, including Amboseli and Tsavo, combining incredible wildlife encounters with rare conservation access and photography opportunities.
Along the way Gordon and I will share our experiences from decades spent filming and photographing wildlife — and immerse you in the conservation work being done to protect it.
As always, all profits from this trip will be donated to conservation organisations and it is a fantastic opportunity for elephant-lovers to travel with like-minded fellow travellers.

A giraffe kind of day because at 18.00 UK, we’re going to be sharing the 200 images that have made the finals of the Remembering Giraffes photo contest. There are some incredible images there, so something to look forward to and savour.
In the meantime here’s one of mine of a Nubian giraffe from Lake Nakuru, those fever tree forests are so uniquely special. Appropriately, I think this was taken on a trip there with the talented whose embellished print is still up for grabs in our Kickstarter. Link in bio 🙏🏻🦒

Back to the wildlife. I’m playing around with some images of eles from my files at the moment, for a potential print. I’ve shortlisted this picture taken in golden hour light on the Chobe last year on our Elephant Festival. Love how the baby is hidden safely in a forest of the legs and trunks of its family.
