ABOUT PRIVATE SCHOOLS:

Most private schools are now struggling to get P1 Teachers. I'm in a forum of Private School Owners and I've seen what's happening there.
In the near future, these schools are also going to find it difficult to FIND & EMPLOY experienced school heads. Running a private school, needs some good experience and you cannot just pick any teacher with good papers. It also needs some experience, proper leadership skills, discipline, etc.

Some schools are now poaching headteachers. Some school owners have also realized that and are either adjusting or doubling salaries of teachers they don't want to lose. I have seen some school owners in Nairobi & Kiambu doing that.

•A P1 Teacher - Is now a HOT-CAKE.
Most of these teachers have been and are currently being employed by TSC. Those not yet employed should now be in better paying PRIVATE schools. No serious P1 Teacher should work in a school that's still paying a salary of 15k or below.
No serious P1 teacher should stay jobless at home.

The rate at which TSC is employing these Teachers is alarming and this will leave some of the schools DESERTED. Schools that are poorly paying teachers will only remain with unregistered workers, disguised as teachers. Serious/Qualified teachers will take advantage of the recruitment to spread their papers to BETTER schools.

Yes, colleagues from POORLY paying schools are also going to get GREENER pastures. I know of schools paying better salaries.... There's a school in Nairobi offering a salary of Kshs.180,000 to teachers. Some are even paying more. My friend, will you leave such a school to go and earn around 25k or less in TSC? Don't tell me about job security 😅. But getting a chance in those schools is like squeezing water out of stone, ni NGUMU.

The ongoing mass recruitment of teachers is also going to give BETTER opportunities to fresh graduates and those being UNDERPAID by other schools. I urge those colleagues to keep on SPREADING their papers.
