Meru Governor Isaac Mutuma during the pass-out parade of the Meru Youth Service (MYS), where 900 youths graduated with various technical skills. Of the cohort, 24 have secured security jobs in Dubai while another 100 have been employed locally. Mutuma said the initiative is transforming young lives through discipline and vocational training.

Classes have been suspended indefinitely at a Kisii school after students burned down the school captain’s cubicle during a disturbance. No casualties or injuries were reported, with parents and guardians advised to collect their children as investigations commence.

Nine Utumishi Academy students will spend another night in custody ahead of a Naivasha Law Court ruling tomorrow.
The court will decide whether to release them on cash bail or detain them for 30 days while investigations are completed.
