So this day 2021, I was called by one of our family friends to preach at his church. At that time, I did not have transport money in my pocket I only had KSh 30.

When the day arrived, I prepared myself for the journey at around 5:30 PM. I took my bag and headed to church for prayers. There, I met my pastor during his personal devotion. I entered, and when he saw me, we began talking. I told him that I was heading to Meru for a preaching session.

His first question was, “Son, do you have transport money?”

I smiled and said, “No.”

Pastor then told me to wait for about a week so he could get money for my fare to and fro. But deep in my spirit, I felt strongly moved to go, so I declined. I told him, “No, I will go.”

Pastor did not argue with me. Instead, he instructed me to kneel down for prayer. He prayed, saying:

“I thank You, Lord, for this day and for Your servant. As he heads for Your work, he is now under Your care. In Jesus’ name I pray.”

We said amen.

After that, as I began my journey, a friend of mine gave me KSh 200. As I was heading to board a matatu, my mother called me and asked, “Are you heading to Timau? I should join you and alight there.” I said yes.

As we boarded the matatu, she paid for my transport. At that moment, I had KSh 230 in my pocket. Upon reaching Timau, she looked at me and said, “Emmanuel, I know you. What do you want?”

I smiled and told her, “Nimathire.”

She reached into her purse and gave me KSh 70. Now I had KSh 300. We said goodbye to each other, and I went near Timau Bridge. Suddenly, a matatu came speeding, stopped, and asked me, “Where are you heading?”

I replied, “Meru.”

The conductor did not even wait for me to explain myself I was already being pulled into the matatu. I told him I only had KSh 200. He took it without questioning me.

When I finally arrived in Meru, I met my brother, joined him, and we ended the journey safely at home.

That day reminded me that when God sends you, He also makes a way for you. Every step of the journey, provision kept appearing exactly when I needed it.

Hallelujah
