My kids once asked me why I always take a few fries 🍟 from each of their plates as i hand it to them Or take a bite from their pies or shawama when serving them.

The answer is simple.

My job as a parent is to prepare my kids for adulthood.

So eating a few of their fries before giving them their meal is actually a powerful life lesson about taxes.

Those few fries 🍟 i get, are taxes...PAYE. so 30% of those fries are mine as the government.

It is important as a parent to maintain eye contact while getting those fries 🍟 so your children can learn accountability. Make sure you dont blink not even once, the way the government wont blink when getting a big chunk of their salary.

Then, as they eat, please make sure to keep snatching a few more fries 🍟 from each of their plates — that covers borehole levies, ground rates, fuel levies, TV levy.etc

Take a bite off their chicken or sausage to teach them that they will be forced to pay road tax and toll gate fees at the same time which doesnt make sense. Road tax is them paying to be on the road, yet when they get on the road. They will still make them pay toll gate fees for using the same road they paid road tax for.

Take a sip of their drink to teach them about building permit fees, subscriptions, user fees, and VAT.

If they don’t look heartbroken by the time they finish eating… raise it to 40% next time so they can learn about inflation.🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅
