5 Things I Ask God to Remove From My Heart

One, pride. Pride wears a quiet mask—it’s hard to see, especially in ourselves. Pride is the sin we spot in others but rarely detect in ourselves. The deeper the pride, the harder it is to notice.

Two, anger. Anger steals peace. Anger destroys relationships—burns bridges words can’t rebuild. Anger clouds judgement. In fury’s fog, wisdom fades, and regret often follows the first shout.

Three, lies. Lies destroy trust—once broken, it’s hard to rebuild. Lies multiply —one lie often leads to another. Over time, lies damage character. Lies deceive the liar—they believe what isn’t true.

Four, foolishness. Folly leads to ruin—it invites destruction through reckless choices. And folly also harms others—foolish actions ripple into other people’s lives. Folly results in pain and shame.

Five, immorality. The sin of the flesh is a very slippery ground. The forbidden fruit is very tempting. But sexual sin defiles the body and grieves the Spirit. What feels like freedom ends in regret.

Fundamental truths about life.

1. Change is Constant

Nothing stays the same forever. Life is in a continuous state of flux, and adaptability is key to survival and growth.

2. Cause and Effect (Karma/Law of Consequences)

Every action has consequences, whether immediate or delayed. What you put out into the world—through thoughts, words, and actions—often returns in some form.

3. You Reap What You Sow

Effort, consistency, and intention determine results. Hard work and discipline usually lead to success, while neglect leads to decay.

4. Energy Flows Where Attention Goes

What you focus on expands. If you dwell on problems, they grow. If you focus on solutions, opportunities appear.

5. The Law of Impermanence

Everything—good or bad—passes with time. Enjoy the highs and endure the lows, knowing neither lasts forever.

6. Balance is Essential

Excess in anything—work, rest, pleasure, or discipline—leads to problems. A well-balanced life leads to stability and peace.

7. Perception Shapes Reality

How you interpret events determines your experience of life. Two people can go through the same situation but experience it completely differently based on mindset.

8. Pain is Inevitable, Suffering is Optional

Hardships are part of life, but how you respond to them determines whether you suffer or grow. Resilience and perspective can transform struggles into wisdom.

9. Life Reflects Your Inner World

Your external reality is often a mirror of your internal state. A chaotic mind creates chaos in life, while a peaceful mind fosters harmony.

10. The Present Moment is All You Have

The past is unchangeable, and the future is uncertain. True power lies in the present moment—how you use it shapes your life
