During this floody season most common emergencies are physical injuries,electric shock and near drowning.

LET'S LEARN BASICS OF THEIR FIRST AID🤒.

ELECTRIC SHOCK 😳
-Extreme of electrical shock depends mainly on the type of current either AC or DC,voltage or amperes and duration of contact.

AC current tends to freeze somebody on the electrical source while DC current tends to throw somebody away hence having increased risk for physical injuries such as fractures .

Electric current causes increase of uncontrolled electrical activity into the body.This inturn can lead to loss of muscle control and cardiac arrest .

If not immediately controlled ELECTROCUTION occurs😪

FIRST AID❣️💥

DON'TS ❌
-Don't touch the casualty with bare hands while he or she still connected to active electrical source

-Don't step into electrical connected fluids or water.
-Don't use electric conducting material to separate the casualty from the source.For example use of a metallic items.

THINGS TO DO ❣️

-Call for help immediately if available.
_immediately switch off the main switch if easily accessed
-Observe the casualty before touching to rule out any injuries that may require special handling.This is to avoid further injuring.

*** INCASE THE MAIN SWITCH IS NOT ACCESSIBLE , look for non conductive item such as wooden rod,wooden chairs, Rubber items etc to push or pull the casualty from the electric source or detaching the connections .

❣️VERY IMPORTANT; CHECK IF THE CASUALTY IS BREATHING.

If not breathing immediately initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);this is a process of giving somebody chest compressions while alternating with life breaths to help him or her breathe.
-Check for burn wounds and irrigate with cold water
-Put the casualty in recovery position (left side sleeping position) as he or she awaits further medical management

Postinor is an emergency contraceptive with very high synthetic progestin(Levonorgestrel).They are in two types P1 and P2 based on dosage and frequency of use per day .P1 is more stronger than P2.

The high progestin can lead to delayed fertility or even infertility based on concentration of use.The high progestin makes the hypothalamus (brain) think that ovulation has taken place, which in turn leads to reduction of FSH and LH, hormones responsible for follicles formation and ovulation.This means you will miss ovulation .

ovulation,no fertilization=infertility.

Due to its high progestin level ,IT IS ADVISED TO USE P2 TO A MAXIMUM OF 2 TIMES PER YEAR.
This is to prevent excess progestin in the body
