ONCE UPON A TIME IN BENIN
The Bold Faith of Benson Idahosa

There was a time in the land of Benin when the heavens were shut.
No rain. No clouds. Just dry ground and growing desperation.

The people had tried everything.
Sacrifices had been made.
Prayers had been offered to every known god.
But still… nothing.

In their distress, the Traditional King summoned all the pastors in the land.

When they gathered, the king spoke with urgency:

"We have done everything we know to do. We have called on all our gods, but they have failed us. You are now our final hope. Let us see what your God can do."

Among the pastors stood a young evangelist—Benson Idahosa.
He was the least known.
No title. No status. Just a burning conviction in his spirit.

One of the pastors responded cautiously:
*"Your Highness, give us time. Let us go and pray and fast, and we will return with an answer."*

But something stirred within that young man.

To him, this was not a matter for delay.
This was not a situation for consultation.

This was about the honour of the Living God.

He stepped forward, bold and unshaken, and declared:

**“The rain must fall… and it must fall now!”**

The room fell silent.
Who is this young man?
What audacity!

But before doubt could settle, he lifted his voice in prayer.

And suddenly…
The sky responded.

Clouds gathered out of nowhere.
The wind shifted.
And then, rain began to fall.

Not gently.
Not gradually.

But *mercilessly*.

The same land that had been dry was soaked by the undeniable power of God.

**May we not be spectators in our generation
May we be the answer.
May we carry bold faith that produces undeniable results.**
