Intella raises $12.5M Series A to scale Arabic-first AI in MENA - Digital Boom 08/09/2025

Riyadh-headquartered intella, founded in Egypt in 2021 by Nour Taher (CEO) and Omar Mansour (CTO), has closed an oversubscribed $12.5M hashtag .

The round was led by Prosus Ventures, with participation from 500 Global, Wa'ed Ventures, HALA Ventures, Idrisi Ventures, and HearstLab.

🔎 Why it matters:

Intella builds Arabic-first AI models covering 25+ dialects, a space where global AI players have historically underperformed.

Its speech-to-text engine has achieved a record 95.73% accuracy, outperforming Google, Microsoft, and IBM on Arabic benchmarks.

The company says it doubled revenue in 2024 and expects 7x growth in 2025.

The new funding will accelerate R&D, support the rollout of Ziila, Intella’s Arabic-born digital human launched with Jumia, and scale go-to-market teams in hashtag and hashtag .
