The Ostend Hotel which was located on Boardwalk and Boston Ave burned down to the ground, 12 occupants where injured.

The Ostend Hotel was part of the "Old AC" .

Between Boston and Sovereign avenues was the Ostend Hotel, a wooden structure, which was a kosher hotel.

Pinky Kravitz had his Bar Mitzvah there. There was a duck-pin bowling alley and miniature golf course between Montpelier and Chelsea avenues.

In the summer there were rolling chairs lined up on the railing side of the Boardwalk that people rented for the season. People watching was the sport of the evenings. Parents never wondered about the safety of their youngsters, who would spend the evenings looking at all the wonderful attractions along the Boardwalk

Bader Field in Atlantic City hosts an incredible venue for one of the best triathlons ON THE EAST COAST. You can race the former home to Ironman 70.3 Atlantic City and USAT Age-Group National Championships at the 16th Annual CRDA TRI AC!

This event features two distinct distances: Sprint and Olympic(ish)

The Sprint: .25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 5K run

The Olympic: 1 mile swim, 21 mile bike, 10k run

Both distances provide the following: The swim is in the CALM BACK BAY...NOT the ocean. The bike course utilizes the Atlantic City Expressway for an unmatched experience. The run course is almost entirely on the World-Famous Atlantic City Boardwalk with BOTH finish lines taking place in front of Boardwalk Hall at Kennedy Plaza. This is as unique as it gets!
