La Pinin Concept è stata la prima ed unica vettura a quattro porte nella storia della Ferrari. Essa fu realizzata per commemorare i 50 anni di attività della carrozzeria Pininfarina, oltre che per rendere omaggio al suo storico fondatore, Battista Giuseppe Farina, detto Pinin.
Inizialmente la vettura era un prototipo non marciante. In seguito Mauro Forghieri - ex direttore tecnico Ferrari - montò il propulsore della Ferrari 512 BB, ovvero un V12 boxer 5.0 litri dotato di carburatori Weber e di un doppio albero a camme in testa con quattro valvole per cilindro, capace di erogare 365 CV anche grazie al cambio manuale a 5 rapporti derivato dalla 400 GT. I freni, il serbatoio e le sospensioni furono invece realizzate appositamente per la concept.

The Pinin Concept was the first and only four-door car in the history of Ferrari . It was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Pininfarina bodywork , as well as to pay homage to its historical founder , Giuseppe Battista Farina , Pinin said .
Initially the car was a prototype not marching . Later Mauro Forghieri - former Ferrari technical director - he mounted the engine of the Ferrari 512 BB , or a V12 5.0 liter boxer with Weber carburetors and a double overhead camshaft head with four valves per cylinder , which delivers 365 hp thanks 5-speed manual gearbox derived from the 400 GT . The brakes , fuel tank and the suspensions were instead made specifically for the concept .
