The wind is a clean, free, and readily available renewable energy source.Each day, around the world, wind turbines are capturing the wind’s power and converting it to electricity. It is usually captured through wind mills spread across huge wind farms. It does not release harmful gases into the atmosphere unlike the fossil fuels and can be easily replenished in future. India ranks 4th on the list of World's largest installed capacity in wind power after China, U.S. and Germany.
India has a wind power potential of 20,000 MW and about 85 sites, with a potential of 4500 MW have been identified in the country. There is very large scope in India for this form of energy as it is readily available without any costs and emits greenhouse gas emissions. Being a developing country, it will serve as a great source of energy generation for the economy and huge population.
