Today, the sacred Urs of Hazrat Zati Shahwali (RA) was observed with deep devotion and spiritual fervour at Muqam-e-Shahwali, Drugmulla, Kupwara. Thousands of devotees from different parts of Kashmir gathered at the revered shrine to offer prayers, seek blessings, and pay homage to the great Sufi saint whose teachings continue to inspire generations with the message of peace, love, brotherhood, and faith.

The shrine witnessed a large influx of men, women, elders, and children throughout the day. Special prayers, recitations of the Holy Qur’an, Naat-e-Sharief, and religious gatherings marked the occasion. Devotees also had the opportunity to witness the sacred relics (Tabarukaat) displayed during the Urs, a tradition that holds immense spiritual significance for the followers of the saint.

The annual Urs serves as a symbol of communal harmony and spiritual unity, bringing together people from different regions to remember the teachings and legacy of Hazrat Zati Shahwali (RA), who played a significant role in spreading Islamic values and Sufi traditions in North Kashmir. The serene atmosphere, coupled with heartfelt prayers and remembrance, reflected the enduring respect and love that people hold for the revered saint.

Today, on the occasion of the "program on addiction" organized by the Civil Society Khanyar Srinagar, on this occasion, we also got the opportunity, Alhamdulillah, to address the program. In my speech, I said that we should protect ourselves from addiction, do not waste time. This Kashmir of ours is the land of the saints of Allah, worship has taken place here, do not defile it, but rather sanctify it. During this time, our school children were also present. May Allah Almighty support and help all of them and grant them success in this good work.
