Course Successfully Concluded, CBRN Training
The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Course was successfully conducted at the Centre for Disaster Preparedness & Resilience(CDPR), Haroli, District Una, Himachal Pradesh, under the aegis of the 14th Battalion, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), from 04 June 2026 to 02 July 2026.
A total of 40 participants successfully completed the four-week specialised training programme, which focused on strengthening operational capabilities in CBRN incident preparedness and response through rigorous theoretical instruction and practical exercises.
The successful completion of the course marks another significant step towards enhancing the professional competence and operational readiness of disaster response personnel to effectively manage CBRN emergencies.

As part of the Monsoon Preparedness Measures Himachal Pradesh SDRF has been organising Community Awareness Programmes (CAP) and FAMEX (Familiarisation Exercises) at strategically important locations across the state.
Shimla SDRF team conducted three such programs last week at
JSW Karcham Wangtoo Hydro Project (14-05-2026), Hydro power project Sunni (07-05-2026) and
Shoghi Industrial Area (12-05-26026).
The programmes included mock drills, rescue demonstrations, evacuation exercises, and awareness sessions focusing on industrial emergencies, flash floods, landslides, fire incidents, and earthquake response.
Such program will strengthen coordination between response teams, project authorities, industrial personnel, and other stakeholders while promoting awareness regarding emergency protocols, disaster risk reduction, and effective response mechanisms during emergencies.
SDRF will be glad to organise such programs for any organisation in the state in coming months. DM for further information.
