Patna NEET Student Death Case – Forensic Report Brings New Direction

On 9 January, a female student was found unconscious at Shambhu Girls’ Hostel in the Chitragupt Nagar area of Patna. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where she remained in a coma for several days. She passed away on 11 January at a private hospital.

Initially, the police treated the case as a su***de. It was reported that the student had consumed an excessive amount of sleeping pills and was also suffering from typhoid. However, the postmortem report did not rule out the possibility of sexual assault.

The latest FSL report has now brought a significant development. According to the report, human s***m was detected on the student’s clothes. Following this finding, DNA testing has been initiated to determine the source of the biological evidence. This scientific development may help investigators understand the true sequence of events.
