Odisha’s ‘Papad Man’ - A Story of Hard Work and Perseverance
For over 50 years, Chakradhar Rana has been selling papads on the streets of Udala, Mayurbhanj, walking 30-40 km daily to support his family. Starting at just 50 paise per papad, he now sells 1,000 papads daily at 210 each, sourcing them from Kolkata.
Despite his age, Chakradhar remains dedicated to his work, earning the love and respect of his community. Locals fondly call him ‘Papad Wala’, eagerly awaiting his arrival in markets.
His determination and pride in his profession make him an inspiration to all.
