MICROSOFT IS ROLLING OUT NEW & IMPROVED LOOK OF SKYPE ON OUTLOOK.COM

Starting today, Microsoft rolling out the latest version of Skype for all Outlook.com customers. This updated version of Skype, which is still in the beta phase, aims to make it easier for you to use Skype together with your inbox. This update is part of recently announced update to Outlook.com that features a refined inbox, upgraded calendar and new version of Skype.

Clicking on the Skype icon opens the Skype sidebar. From which, you can see which friends are online, view recent conversations and search for people on Skype. Skype team is makes finding contacts simple & easy– click on the magnifying glass in the sidebar to search for and add contacts directly in Outlook.com.

Features:

Pick up 1:1 conversations or group chats where they left off by clicking on the corresponding bubble on the right. All of your Skype chat messages are synchronized across all of your devices.

Press the call button to make 1:1 voice or video calls. You need to install Skype’s browser plug-in on first call.

Skype promises that the new Skype will be rolled out to every outlook.com users in the coming months. Let us know if any of you get the new skype on your outlook.

New Build For Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview Is Now Out

Whatsapp Beta Has Been Updated To 2.12.20.0 With Lots Of New Features.

Last night , Whatsapp has bumped from 1.xx.xx to 2.12.20 . And it brought many new features too. Some of them are –

1. Fully compatible with 8.1

2. Send mp3 music

3. Select multiple messages for forwarding and delete and copy

4. New animations

5. App doesn’t exits when pressing back button

6. Feels snappier then before



These are the new features which arrived with this fresh update but are still full of bugs . We are happy to see that Whatsapp is now so close to be on par with Android and IOS . Still , no option for Whatsapp call.

New leaked screenshots of Windows 10 mobile build 10072 reveals new transparency slider & Office apps

Microsoft is expected to push out a new build for Windows Phone devices this week along with new universal office apps. But today, the Chinese guys at ITHome posted some of the screenshots of the Build 10072.

The version of the build is 10.0.12555.74 indicating it is ahead of what currently available for Windows Insiders. This build reveals couple of new customization features like ability to adjust the transparency of tiles on start screen. In addition, there are now 48 different accent colors to choose up from 21.

The new windows store is also appeared in this build along with the expected ability to download & install the new universal office apps. The screenshots shows Word & PowerPoint apps ready to download from new apps store.

Microsoft most likely push this build to Windows Insiders this week along with office apps. We’ll update you as soon as it happens. Till then, do let us know what you think about the UI design Microsoft implementing in Phone version of Windows 10. Personally speaking, I’m not impressed so far but this is still very early version & UI enhancements is yet to be done on Phone part of the Windows 10 UI.
