Savitri Sahni, wife of renowned palaeobotanist Birbal Sahni, was his steadfast companion in both life and work.

Following his sudden death, just days after the foundation stone of the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences was laid, she dedicated herself to fulfilling his unfinished vision. Under her leadership, the institute emerged as a leading centre for palaeobotanical research, a contribution recognised with the Padma Shri in 1969.

Our sixth exhibition, Feminists of Awadh par Salaam, seeks to reimagine Lucknow through the lens of its women like her.

The exhibition is open from 1 PM to 10 PM, every day.

Mah-e-garv was more than a celebration of pride, a space that celebrated conversations, art, lived experiences and different expressions of a shared humanity.

The evening unfolded through a Kathak performance by Sanjeev, followed by a poetry recital by 19-year-old Sikhar Maurya and a screening of IYKYK (If You Know You Know) by Bonita Rajpurohit. Participants had a great time sharing stories, singing songs and reflecting on their experiences.

Stay tuned for more such events!
