Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed the heads of all paramilitary forces to call back the soldiers who are on leave. According to a news⁷ in India's famous newspaper Indian Express, this step has been taken in view of the retaliatory action taken by the Indian Armed Forces in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam attack.

Amit Shah is in constant touch with the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and has also asked to ensure the safety of citizens in the border areas. Apart from this, he reviewed the internal security of the country and instructed the security officials to remain alert.

Sri Lankan authorities searched a flight from Chennai to Colombo after receiving information about a possible suspect in the Pahalgam attack. Sri Lankan Airlines confirmed that flight number UL 122 landed at Bandaranaike International Airport on Saturday morning and was subjected to a thorough security check after receiving an alert from Chennai. Eventually, the plane was cleared for further operations after a detailed check found no threat.
