* The Reserve Bank of India has maintained the repo rate at 6.50% for the latest policy cycle. CPI inflation is hovering around 5%, within the target band of 2–6%.

* RBI has projected India’s GDP growth at 6.9% for FY27, lower than the estimated 7.6% for FY26, citing global risks.

* The Adani Group plans to invest ₹33,081 crore in Odisha across data center, power plant, and cement projects, which could create ~9,700 jobs and boost infrastructure and energy supply in the state.

*International News*

* U.S President Donald J. Trump said the US will pause attacks on Iran for 2 weeks if Iran agrees to open the Strait of Hormuz safely, as both sides are close to a ceasefire and long-term peace deal.

* Under this 2-week ceasefire plan, Iran (with Oman) may charge ships up to ~$2 million per trip through the Strait of Hormuz, and the money could be used for rebuilding Iran according to sources.
