Cyber Awareness Day at 22 IR BN Kishtwar

On April 1, 2026, a Cyber Awareness Day was organized at the headquarters of 22 IR BN Kishtwar. The session focused on common cyber threats faced by people today, including OTP theft, identity theft, fake job offers, sextortion, Trojans, and malicious links.
A detailed lecture covered these topics comprehensively, educating all participants on how such threats can lead to identity compromise and financial loss. Attendees were advised against installing third-party applications from untrusted sources. Real-world examples and interactive tutorials ensured everyone gained a complete understanding.
At the end, participants expressed satisfaction and were directed to spread this awareness among their peers and communities.

Cyber Awareness Day conducted at IRP 22nd Battalion, (BTC) Indranagar, Kishtwar, with the objective of sensitizing personnel about the growing challenges posed by cyber threats and the importance of safe and responsible digital practices.

During the programme, personnel were briefed on various forms of cyber threats, including online frauds, phishing attacks, identity theft, social media misuse, and financial cybercrime. Emphasis was laid on adopting safe online habits, protecting personal and official data, using strong passwords, and exercising caution while sharing information on digital platforms. Guidance was provided on identifying suspicious links, fake messages, and fraudulent calls, along with steps to report cyber incidents to the concerned authorities.
