Drug peddler arrested with he**in
HAWKS EYE EXPRESS
JAMMU, MAY 29: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Gadigarh Police apprehended an alleged drug peddler during routine naka checking at Babliyana area along with he**in on Thursday.
According to police sources, a police party of Police Post Gadigarh intercepted a suspect during checking and recovered approximately 10.32 grams of he**in-like substance from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Surinder Singh alias Shampoo/Shimpu, son of Swarn Singh, a resident of Babliyana, Jammu.
The accused was immediately taken into custody and contraband substance was seized on the spot.
In this regard, cognizance has been taken and further investigation has been initiated.
The operation was conducted by PSI Jarnail Singh, Incharge Police Post Gadigarh under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Paramjeet Singh.

Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra: SSP Jammu reviews security arrangements at Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp

JAMMU, MAY 29: In preparation for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra scheduled to commence on July 3, SSP Jammu Joginder Singh visited the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp to review the security and logistical arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
During the visit, the SSP conducted a comprehensive inspection of the security deployment and interacted with officers and officials stationed at the base camp.
Officers from the CRPF and civil administration were also present during the review meeting.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the overall security strategy, crowd management, traffic regulation, surveillance mechanisms, emergency response preparedness and inter-agency coordination to ensure the safety and convenience of the pilgrims.
The SSP stressed the importance of timely completion of all arrangements and directed officers to maintain a high level of alertness and coordination during the Yatra period.
He also emphasized ensuring proper facilities, smooth movement and hassle-free assistance for devotees arriving at the base camp.
The officers were instructed to work in close coordination with all stakeholder agencies to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment for pilgrims undertaking the holy yatra.
