A single morning safari inside the dense scrubland of Jhalana can catch you completely by surprise. This morning felt like stepping into an unbroken wilderness, anchored by a rare encounter with the resident king himself—Rana.

1. Leopard Rana
2. Asian Paradise Flycatcher (Female)
3. Spotted Owlet
4. Rat Snake

There is a unique thrill in tracking these "stone-curlews" across the Jaipur landscape. Their large, striking yellow eyes and streaked plumage make them a dream subject for wildlife photography when you finally manage to break their camouflage.
