The Governing Body (GB) meeting of the Arunachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) was successfully held today under the esteemed chairmanship of Shri Pema Khandu, Hon'ble Chief Minister and President of the GB.
The meeting was conducted in the gracious presence of Shri Ojing Tasing, Hon'ble Minister, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, along with all respected members of the Governing Body.
Key discussions focused on strengthening rural livelihoods, accelerating implementation strategies, and enhancing the impact of ArSRLM initiatives across the state. The collective deliberations reaffirmed the commitment towards empowering rural communities and achieving sustainable development.

Arunachal Pradesh SRLM and The/Nudge Institute Sign MoU to Uplift Multidimensional Poor Families
ITANAGAR — The Arunachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) and The/Nudge Institute officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding today to transition the state’s most vulnerable rural families out of extreme poverty. During the ceremony, Smt. Sangeeta Yirang, APCS (AG), CEO-cum-SMD of Arunachal Pradesh emphasized the vital importance of public-private partnerships in reaching marginalized households, while Shri John Paul, Executive Director & Chief Program Officer of The/Nudge Institute, virtually reaffirmed the institute’s long-term commitment to the state's development. Shri Srikanta Routa, Head of Operations at The/Nudge, further commended ArSRLM for fostering a collaborative and efficient environment that allows partner agencies to implement impactful social programs effectively. The primary focus of this partnership will be the implementation of the Samaveshi Ajeevika Yojana, a flagship program of the DAY-NRLM under the Ministry of Rural Development. Shri Jechonia Islary, Chief Operating Officer of ArSRLM, highlighted that while the ultimate goal of this partnership is to reach every vulnerable family in the state, this initial phase will provide the groundwork for dignified and durable livelihoods. To ensure high-quality ex*****on on the ground, The/Nudge Institute will provide comprehensive professional, technical, and managerial support, bridging the gap between policy and sustainable economic graduation for the multidimensional poor in Arunachal Pradesh. The ceremony was also attended by other senior staffs of ArSRLM & The/Nudge Institute (through online).

Strengthening women through financial knowledge.
Financial Literacy Workshop for Women Self-Help Group (SHG) members, organised by Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), was successfully conducted at the State Banquet Hall, Itanagar.
The programme was inaugurated by honouring the dignitaries on the dais and the resource persons from ICAI. Smti. Sangeeta Yirang, CEO-cum-SMD, ArSRLM, welcomed the ICAI team, GM NABARD, and GM APRB, highlighting the importance of financial literacy in empowering SHG members.
During the keynote address, the ICAI Secretary announced upcoming training programmes for Financial Literacy Resource Persons and career counselling sessions for professional courses like Chartered Accountancy for the children of SHG members. He also shared the concept of “Corporate Mitra”, aimed at MSME services, encouraging SHG members to prepare for future opportunities.
The workshop concluded successfully with a vote of thanks by Mr. Hillang Tasap.

ArSRLM and RGU Sign MoU to Strengthen Rural Livelihoods
The Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) and Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) signed a Non-Financial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 19 January 2026 at Itanagar to strengthen academic, research, and institutional collaboration for sustainable rural livelihoods in Arunachal Pradesh.
The MoU was signed by Smt. Sangeeta Yirang, APCS (AG), CEO-cum-State Mission Director, ArSRLM, and Dr. N.T. Rikam, Registrar, RGU.
The collaboration will focus on research, capacity building, internships, field-based studies, documentation, and knowledge management, in line with NRLM guidelines, UGC regulations, and Government of Arunachal Pradesh norms.
The partnership is expected to support evidence-based planning, institutional strengthening, and human resource development for effective implementation of rural livelihoods programmes in the State.
