Scrum is an Agile framework for managing and completing complex projects, and it defines three main roles, each with distinct responsibilities:

1. Product Owner
Focus: Maximizing product value and managing the product backlog.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and prioritize the product backlog (list of work to be done).
Act as the bridge between stakeholders (customers, business, users) and the development team.
Ensure that the development team is working on the most valuable tasks.
Accept or reject completed work in sprint reviews.
Make decisions about scope, release, and trade-offs during the development process.
2. Scrum Master
Focus: Facilitating the Scrum process and removing obstacles.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach the team in Agile practices and ensure Scrum principles are followed.
Help the development team stay focused and remove any impediments that could affect their work.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
Shield the team from outside interruptions or distractions.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by guiding retrospectives and implementing feedback.
3. Development Team
Focus: Delivering potentially shippable increments of product during each sprint.
Key Responsibilities:
Self-organize and collaborate to deliver the work committed to in each sprint.
Estimate and plan their own work during sprint planning sessions.
Participate in all Scrum events (daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine and understand the backlog.
Commit to delivering high-quality product increments by the end of the sprint.
Each role in Scrum is designed to maintain accountability and ensure a collaborative and effective approach to developing products in an iterative and incremental way.
