Vanilla Cake Recipe
Ingredients
Cake:
250g all-purpose flour
200g granulated sugar
125g unsalted butter (softened)
2 large eggs
240ml milk
10g baking powder
5ml vanilla extract
1g salt

Buttercream Frosting:
250g unsalted butter (softened)
500g powdered sugar
30ml milk
5ml vanilla extract
Food coloring (optional)

Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line two cake pans.
2.Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3.Cream butter and sugar: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4.Add eggs and vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
5.Combine wet and dry: Alternately add flour mixture and milk, mixing until smooth.
6.Bake: Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
7.Prepare frosting: Beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
8.Decorate: Frost the cake and pipe rosettes using a star tip.
