The Shanghai Public Testnet is anticipated to launch in February 2023, while the Ethereum (ETH) Shanghai/Capella upgrade is scheduled to arrive in March 2023.
This is in accordance with a number of news sources regarding the Shanghai upgrade, and according to U.Today, the Shanghai Public Testnet will launch the following month.
Allowing blockchain validators to withdraw their 32 ether from staking contracts is one feature of this upgrade.
At the moment, validators who stake ETH are unable to withdraw their investment. The Ethereum Network validators will be able to withdraw this staked ethereum thanks to a code that will be included in the Shanghai update.
The upgrade was initially slated to go live no later than September 2023. Since December 2020, it will also permit ether that has been staked in the Beacon Chain to be withdrawn.
