JIMS Rohini organized an industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., Sonipat, for BBA students, providing an opportunity to gain practical exposure to manufacturing operations, quality control systems, supply chain management, and marketing practices in the FMCG sector.

During the visit, students attended an informative corporate presentation that introduced them to Yakult’s global presence, business model, and its role in promoting gut health through probiotic beverages.

A key highlight of the visit was the live observation of the fully automated production process through the plant’s glass viewing gallery. Students witnessed every stage of production—from ingredient preparation, sterilization, and fermentation to bottle formation, automated filling, sealing, packaging, and cold storage.

The visit also provided valuable insights into modern manufacturing practices, including automation, lean production systems, vertical integration, process standardization, temperature control, and rigorous quality assurance measures. Students observed how in-house bottle manufacturing contributes to cost efficiency and quality consistency.

By connecting theoretical concepts such as Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Management, and Marketing with real industrial practices, the visit offered an enriching learning experience and enhanced students’ understanding of how scientific innovation, business strategy, and operational excellence drive success in the FMCG industry.
