In a viral video, two policemen are seen beating up a man brutally with batons in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district. .
The video shows one of the two cops beating the man until he falls. The other policeman then kicks him and they drag the unconscious man to the police van. .
"It seems a drunk man was creating ruckus and the two policemen used force against him," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shashank Garg said. . . .
After the video surfaced, the head constable Krishna Dongre and constable Ashish have been taken off field duty on Saturday. He said that further action would be taken against the two on the basis of questioning from the Sub Divisional Officer (SDOP).
The video was earlier shared on Facebook by Congress leader Digvijay Singh. He has demanded the CM of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan to sack the policemen.
