1️⃣ DRDO’s LRDE has begun work on the Navigation Radar for Integrated Combat Suite (NRICS) for submarines. The system will boost navigation, surveillance, and surface warfare capabilities, enhancing India’s underwater strike power under the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.

2️⃣ The IAF is fast-tracking Very High Frequency (VHF) radar deployment in the Himalayas and high-altitude zones. These radars, operating in the 30–200 MHz band, can detect stealth aircraft like China’s J-20 by penetrating radar-absorbing materials.

3️⃣ IAF Chief A.P. Singh announced that 75% of Su-30MKI fighters will undergo the “Super Sukhoi” upgrade. With new AESA radar, AI-infused cockpit, advanced jammers, and indigenous weapons, the upgrade will extend their service life into the 2050s.

4️⃣IAF confirmed that during Operation Sindoor, Pakistani F-16s and J-17s were destroyed. India also struck an AEW&C and multiple fighter jets. Pakistan’s claims of downing Indian aircraft were dismissed as propaganda.

5️⃣ India has launched work on ‘Sudarshan Chakra,’ its indigenous version of the Iron Dome air defence system. Integrated with the IAF’s command and control systems, this project aims at strengthening India’s self-reliant air defence shield.

6️⃣ Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVANI) is expanding exports of tanks, spares, and support services to Africa, West Asia, and Asia. With legacy platforms like Arjun MBT, T-90 Bhishma, and BMP-2, AVANI aims to cement India’s role as a key global defence supplier.

7️⃣ India’s MoD has sought pricing from Dassault Aviation for 40–114 additional Rafale jets. This comes amid squadron shortages and modernization needs. Rafales, already combat-proven in the IAF, are set to play a larger role in India’s future aerial capabilities.

8️⃣ HAL is set to manufacture GE F414 engines in India for Tejas Mk2 and AMCA under an 80% Transfer of Technology (ToT) deal. However, the Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) software will remain under GE’s control, raising long-term autonomy concerns.

1️⃣ The Army plans a wheeled tank destroyer with vertical-launch ATGMs to counter enemy MBTs & APCs. Indigenous firms will play a key role in this anti-armor platform.

2️⃣ Vice Admiral Sanjay Mahindru (Retd) urges the Navy to arm Project-76 submarines with hypersonic tactical missiles, moving beyond conventional SLBMs to secure surprise strike capability.

3️⃣ The indigenous Tejas MkII is set to replace MiG-29UPG & Mirage-2000-5, bringing 4.5-gen capabilities and deep-strike superiority. Dubbed “Mini-Rafale,” it will be India’s air dominance backbone.

4️⃣ After Op Sindoor success, IAF accelerates acquisition of BrahMos & SCALP-EG ALCMs, aiming to neutralize nearly 100 PAF airfields and bases within the first 12 hours of conflict.

5️⃣ Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praises tri-services synergy during Op Sindoor, calling jointness not just policy but a necessity for survival in a fast-changing security environment.

6️⃣AXISCADES bags a ₹7.99 Cr Indian Army order to deliver 12 advanced Man-Portable Counter-Drone Systems (MPCDS), strengthening frontline defences against UAV threats after Op Sindoor.

7️⃣ COAS Gen Upendra Dwivedi meets Kenya Navy’s Maj Gen Paul Owuor Otieno in Delhi, strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and reaffirming shared commitment to regional peace & stability.

1️⃣ Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been confirmed as a key design partner in India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program, holding a 20–25% share in the design and development. HAL’s involvement reflects its growing expertise in advanced aircraft design and reinforces India’s push for defence self-reliance under Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

2️⃣ The IAF is negotiating with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) to procure around 500 Astra Mk1 Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missiles (BVRAAMs) for the Tejas Mk1A fleet. With 180 jets contracted or planned, the Tejas Mk1A flee.

3️⃣ India is developing the “Sudarshan Chakra,” described as the mother of all air defence systems. It will integrate counter-drone, counter-UAV, and counter-hypersonic missile systems. Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit stressed that lessons from Operation Sindoor show India must stay “two steps ahead” of adversaries.

4️⃣ The Indian Air Force has submitted a proposal to expand its fighter strength to 55 squadrons from the current sanctioned 42. This is in response to challenges from China and Pakistan. The move underscores India’s need for simultaneous multi-front operational readiness.

5️⃣ HAL has received two foreign proposals for a Directed Infrared Counter Measure (DIRCM) system. This will integrate advanced laser-based countermeasures to protect against infrared-guided missiles in high-altitude and combat zones. Proposals came from Israel’s Elbit Systems and Italy’s Elettronica S.p.A.

6️⃣ The Indian Navy’s plan to acquire four Landing Platform Docks (LPDs) could be reimagined as UAV carriers. This would strengthen Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR), and strike operations in the Indian Ocean. By integrating unmanned jets with Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T), these carriers would improve operational flexibility.
