The ocean just got a massive new cleanup crew and it’s an incredible 600 meters long. 🌊 Dutch engineers have unveiled a floating “ocean vacuum”, a giant barrier system that drifts with the natural currents, collecting everything from abandoned fishing nets to tiny microplastics polluting the seas.
This innovative design channels debris into onboard platforms, where it’s safely collected and later removed for recycling or disposal. What makes it truly groundbreaking is that it operates entirely without fuel, powered instead by solar energy, ocean waves, and the motion of the sea itself.
Early tests show the system is already making a major impact, capturing impressive amounts of waste and offering new hope in the global fight against marine pollution.

A 22-year-old woman from Jambi City, Indonesia, married someone she met on a dating app, believing “Ahnaf Arrafif” was a successful doctor. The Universe 25 experiment, conducted by John B. Calhoun in 1968, tested how population density affects social behavior. He created an enclosed “utopia” for mice, with endless food, water, shelter, and no predators. At first, the mice reproduced rapidly, and their population thrived in this ideal environment.
As the enclosure became crowded, order began to break down. Mice showed aggression, neglected their young, and some withdrew from normal social life. A group nicknamed the “Beautiful Ones” emerged — mice that groomed constantly, avoided conflict, and stopped mating, living only to eat and sleep.
Eventually, reproduction ceased altogether, social bonds collapsed, and the population dwindled to extinction despite plentiful resources. The study highlighted how overpopulation and lack of space can damage social structures, though experts caution against applying its findings directly to humans because the experiment’s setting was artificial and closed.

The Elephant’s Foot 🐘👣
At the center of an elephant’s foot lies a special fat pad that flattens with every step — spreading out the pressure and increasing contact with the ground. That’s how these giants walk so steadily, despite their massive weight.
