When a child is sent to work, the cost is far greater than just a lost education. The risks are real, and the consequences can last a lifetime.

Children forced into labor often find themselves in unregulated and dangerous environments where they face the threat of physical, emotional, and even sexual abuse. This exposure robs them of their safety and their childhood.

Furthermore, when a child misses school, they are set on a path with limited opportunities. This lack of education traps them in a relentless cycle of poverty, which they are often forced to continue as adults.

Most fundamentally, child labor is a direct violation of a child's basic human rights. Every child is entitled to an education, a safe environment, and the freedom to play and simply be a child.
