New Turf, New Dreams: Zubair Mir Launches Free Football "People's Cup" in Baramulla

Baramulla, Sept 24: A new football turf at Sangri Colony Baramulla turned into a stage of hope as young politician Zubair Ahmad Mir of Kanthbagh, affiliated with People's Conference, inaugurated the first-ever “Soccer People's Cup.”

While the turf normally charges ₹1500 per hour, Zubair has funded the entire tournament himself, making it free for local teams. “I want our youngsters to play without barriers and dream bigger,” he said, stressing his vision of seeing Baramulla’s footballers reach national and international platforms.
