Tell me - is there anything more beautiful for an artist than being remembered like that?

Ok now where do I even begin on this one ?

When my dear friend Slobodan Trkulja, the rockstar of Serbia, invited us to share the stage at his Silk Road Festival in Belgrade, I experienced something deeply moving.

We all came from different corners of the earth. wildly different histories. different cultures. different sounds. We even didn't speak a shared language.

But then. None of it mattered.

As a world music artist, I have had the good fortune of taking my culture at some incredible stages across the world. And no matter where we are, it is always the same feeling. FAMILIA !

I’ve always believed music is dialogue. In these turbulent times, standing together on that stage felt like a quiet reminder - that friendship across borders is possible, that culture can unite us, and that sometimes the answer lies not in doing, but perhaps just quiet listening. To allow ourselves to fall in love with another is perhaps the greatest joy. ever.

I arrived as a guest.
I left feeling like family.

Slobo, my friend, my brother - you are special.
