Indian Constitution.

1.Idea of Constitution was given by M. N

2.In 1935 The indian national congress officially demanded a constituent Assembly to frame the Constitution of india.

3 .The demand was finally accepted in principle by the British Govt in what is known as "AGUST OFFER"(1940)

4.In 1942 .. SIR STAFFORD CRIPS a member of the cabinet came to india with a draft proposal of the British Govt . On the framing of an independent Constitution to B adopted after world War II.

5 . The crips proposal was rejected by Muslim league. Which wanted india to be divided into two autonomous states.

6. CABINET MISSION rejected the idea of two constituent Assemblies.

7 . The constituent Assembly was constituted In November 1946 .

8.. The Total strength of the constituent Assembly was to be 389

9.296 seats were to be alloted to British India

10.. 93 seats for princely states....

11 . Out of 296 seats alloted yo the British India, 292 members were to be drawn from the 11 Governors provinces and 4 from chief commissioners provinces one from each.
