Cusack departs for the International Mountain Running Cup in Italy

The World Mountain Running Association (WMRA) stages the 19th edition of the U18 International Mountain Running Cup on the 21st June in Gagliano del Capo, Italy. Tullamore Harriers Elise Cusack took flight today with the Irish squad who will compete in this international championship. This southern gem of Apulia, perched between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, offers an exciting new terrain for the world’s best young mountain runners.

With just over 10 weeks to go until the BnM Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon, we hope you are training well and are as excited as we are for the 2026 edition of the race.

Halimat Balogun was in action at the Dublin Graded meet on Saturday, at Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club. Competing in her first ever 200m race, Halimat ran a strong race with a time of 30.65 seconds. Well done Halimat.
