Yesterday's Tour ☘️☘️☘️

Another day, another adventure with Shamrock Routes! ☘️☘️☘️

This time, it was the turn of Suzanne McDermott and her four school friends—Jean, Maria, Beverly and Laura. A few months ago, Suzanne's husband, Carl McDermott, won a day tour with Shamrock Routes in one of our prize draws, and yesterday it was finally time to enjoy the experience.

Our day began with an early morning pickup in Dublin before heading west towards Galway. Our first stop was just outside Athlone at Circle K, where the ladies grabbed a coffee before continuing the journey. The sun was shining, the skies were blue, and it was the perfect summer's day.

Back on the road, the craic was mighty! Suzanne, sitting up front, even managed to catch up on some sleep after a night of celebrations! 😂

Our next stop was Galway City, where the group enjoyed exploring Shop Street, Eyre Square and the vibrant Latin Quarter.

From there, we travelled into the heart of Connemara. The stunning lakes and the Maumturk Mountains provided breathtaking scenery, with plenty of opportunities to stop for photos. Lunch at Veldon's Seafarer in Letterfrack was a real highlight, with delicious food enjoyed by all.

Next came the magnificent Kylemore Abbey. Built in 1868 as a romantic castle before becoming a Benedictine monastery, it never fails to impress. The ladies thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds and taking in the history and beauty of this iconic location.

We then continued on to Clifden and drove the famous Sky Road, stopping at the spectacular viewpoint overlooking Clifden Bay. The islands, lighthouse and dramatic coastline created unforgettable views—and, of course, plenty of photographs!

As the day drew to a close, it was time to head back to Dublin. The journey home was filled with laughter as the group shared stories from a fantastic day together. One final stop at the legendary Sean's Bar in Athlone was the perfect way to round off a perfect tour.

Once again, Shamrock Routes did what they do best—creating memories to last a lifetime. ☘️🇮🇪⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yesterday's tour took us from Dublin to Clifden and back, guided by owner and driver Ambrose McKay.

Back on the road early. Weleft and said goodbye to Killarney. Our guests loved their time in Killarney. We travelled to Tarbert and drove on to the ferry which took us to Killimer in Clare.

The terrain changed to small fields and stone walls . Small roads and grass growing down the centre. The rugged Wild Atlantic Coast line to our left as we traveled to the Cliffs of Moher.. Blue sky , sun beaming bright looked so beautiful.

Arrived at the Cliffs , the guests spent an hour walking about and admiring what Mother Nature created millions of years ago. They were overwhelmed by its beauty.

Next stop was for a well earned lunch in Mc Dermotts pub in Doolin. They enjoyed the food and lots of stories were been shared about their Ireland adventure..

After lunch we headed towards Galway and stopped for photos in The Burren, over 350 million years old.. A mass of limestone on top of the ground . So beautiful in the sunlight today.

Last stop for the day was Corcomroe Abbey..This Abbey was built in 1194.. The Abbey was built from stone off of the land ..

Finally got to Galway were our guests wined and dined.
