Our Lady and St. Itas Pastoral Unit Pilgrimage of Hope Event

Friday 4th July at 7pm

Starting with prayers led by Bishop Brendan Leahy at St. Ita’s shrine in Killeedy cemetery.

Followed by a walk from St. Ita’s shrine to Ashford Village, stopping at Twomey’s cross to reflect on how the mass rock was a strong symbol of hope for people during the penal times.

The procession will conclude at Ashford church with prayers and final reflections followed by benediction.
Everyone is invited to the Ash for refreshments and entertainment.
The pupils of Ashford and Raheenagh school will have their art of St Ita and the Mass Rock work displayed on the night in The Ash.
