Whole Baked Granny Smith Apples with Emerald Brown Butter Ice Cream 🍨 💚

Ingredients (per person):
• 1 Granny Smith apple (or similar firm apple), peeled and cored
• 1 teaspoon caster sugar, or more to taste
• A dash of ground cinnamon
• A squeeze of lemon juice
• A small handful of chopped nuts (optional)
• Emerald Brown Butter Ice Cream, to serve

Method:

1️⃣ Peel and core the apple, then submerge it in a bowl of cold water, adding the lemon juice to prevent the apple from browning.
2️⃣ In a small bowl, combine the caster sugar and cinnamon.
Remove the apple from the water and pat dry with kitchen paper. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the apple, using your hands to coat it evenly.
3️⃣ Line the air fryer basket with baking parchment and place the apple inside. Add 3 tablespoons of water to help the apple cook evenly.
4️⃣ Air fry at 180°C for 20 to 30 minutes, until the apple is softened and lightly caramelised. If the apple begins to brown too quickly, reduce the temperature slightly for the final few minutes of cooking.
5️⃣ Serve warm with your favourite Emerald Ice Cream flavour, and the chopped nuts (optional).
